UWI Vice Chancellor’s Representative
Stafford Griffith is a Professor of Research, Measurement and Evaluation in the School of Education, UWI. He holds graduate degrees in education with specialised study in research, measurement and evaluation, and curriculum development. He also holds a LLB degree. Professor Griffith has over 40 years of combined work experience in teaching, curriculum development, measurement and evaluation, and project design, management and evaluation.
Professor Griffith has extensive consultancy experience with national, regional and international organisations, including the Eugene Dupuch and Norman Manley Law Schools, University of Guyana (UG), University Council of Jamaica (UCJ), United Nations Educational Scientific and Cultural Organisation (UNESCO), Inter-American Development Bank (IADB), TECSULT International Limited and Van Leer Foundation. He has held a number of senior administrative and technical posts in the Region, among them being Pro-Registrar of the Caribbean Examinations Council.
Professor Griffith has a number of publications in the field of educational assessment and public examinations. His research interests include public examinations, large-scale testing programmes and assessment for learning.
