Here are some public sector entities that offer financial assistance to tertiary students. They are noted here.
Ministry of Education Youth & Information Scholarships:
The following are Scholarships/Awards that will be administered by the Jamaica Tertiary Education Commission of the Ministry of Education Youth and Information for the 2017/2018 academic year. The Awards are offered to Teachers/Students desirous of pursuing higher education.

Ministry of Education:
The Tertiary Unit of the Ministry of Education administers scholarships and awards. Get them here http://www.moe.gov.jm/scholarships
Ministry of Finance:
The Scholarships and Assistance Unit, Public Service Establishment Division, manages the GOJ Civil Service Training Programme and acts as Point of Contact for the various donor Agencies and Countries offering technical assistance to the Government under bilateral and multilateral agreements. In this regard, this office is responsible for disseminating information on training and study opportunities as they become available. Ministry of Youth and Culture:
This Ministry, under its Access to Higher Education Partnership Programme (AHEPP), provided $15 million in scholarships for the academic year 2015/16 to benefit 150 tertiary students. For more info go to http://www.myc.gov.jm/ and http://www.youthjamaica.com/content/scholarships
The Culture, Health, Arts, Sports and Education Fund (CHASE):
CHASE offers scholarships for tertiary students study disciplines in Arts and Culture, Health Sciences, and Eduction. Go to http://chase.org.jm/category/scholarchips for more information.
Office of the Services Commission:

Ministry of Labour and Social Security:
The Ministry of Labour and Social Security administers scholarships through the Programme of Advancement Through Health and Education (PATH). Get details at http://www.mlss.gov.jm/pub/index.php?artid=145
The PetroCaribe Development Fund:
PetroCaribe Development Fund supports the Jamaica50/PetroCaribe Scholarship initiative, which is one of the Jamaica 50 legacy programmes. Tertiary level scholarships are awareded and beneficiaries are supported financially by the Fund for the duration of their studies. The Jamaica Social Investment Fund:
The Jamaica Social Investment Fund (JSIF) through the Poverty Reduction Programme (PRP) up to a maximum value of $350,000.00. Programmes not funded include Law, Dentistry, Medicine or Nursing. Go to http://www.jsif.org/content/tertiary-scholarships-2015 for guidelines on how to apply.
